Author a Technical Paper

The annual Pulp and Paper Conference presents technical papers on a variety of topics relating to pulp and paper engineering. We encourage you to submit a paper for review and potential inclusion in this year’s conference.

Here are some general timelines, templates and checklist to help you prepare your submission.

KEY MILESTONES: PAPER REVIEW

LATE SEPTEMBER
Subcommittee interim virtual meeting–review available rough drafts

MID OCTOBER
Authors’ deadline to submit rough drafts for reviews

MID NOVEMBER
Complete review of rough drafts–feedback to authors

1st WEEK OF JANUARY
Authors’ deadline to submit final drafts for review

1st WEEK OF FEBRUARY
Complete review of final drafts

1st WEEK OF MARCH
Authors’s deadline to email final manuscript to Technical Program Chair–formatted in compliance with PPIC Paper Style Sheet (available here)

MID MARCH
Program Chair creates and sends email invitations to authors via ScholarOne Manuscript System

1st WEEK OF APRIL
Authors upload paper to ScholarOne Manuscripts via invitation. Complete the online copyright transfer and file the Author’s Data & Release Form and Co-Author’s Form through ScholarOne

APRIL/MAY
At least one author must register for the conference

JUNE 9-13
Annual Conference–Charleston, WV
